I came across this article a few weeks ago and was taken aback in so many ways, felt compelled to put this through VizRehab™.
I plan to have several blogs on this topic. My first release in the series is from page 6 (click here for the full report).
How much money was spent writing this presentation? — I am way too scared to know.

In addition to visually simplifying the original, I added the view in the lower right corner for an analytic capability to compare the percentages of spend.

It’s powerful to look at percentages in addition to absolute values, as that tends to reveal other relationships.

Not it’s possible to identify outliers such as Army/HR Management and see that with same value of $4.2B, Air Force/Property and 4th Estate/Acquisition occupy quite different positions.[/cs_text][x_callout title=”VizRehab” message=” ” type=”left” button_text=” The process of rehabilitating terrible visualizations so they may do good in society” circle=”false” button_icon=”” href=”#” href_title=”” target=””][cs_text]
